CSR


CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is a concept whereby a company voluntarily takes into consideration in its business activity the public interests and preservation of the environmental balance. Although there is no universal definition of a socially responsible company, the notion of CSR refers to transparent business practices based on the ethical values, compliance with legal requirements and respect for the community and environment.

 

On 30th May this year, the company P.P.U.H. Inter-Castor Sp. z o.o. concluded an agreement with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) to support the implementation of solutions in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The concept of CSR is based on the implementation of solutions directly related to the business activity carried out by the entrepreneur, which take into consideration social and environmental aspects.

The purpose of the project called „CSR in the P.P.U.H Inter-Castor company in the area of environmental protection” is to implement a corporate responsibility strategy together with minimising the negative impacts of the business activities on the natural environment and company’s internal environment, including: – ensuring the occupational safety, – increasing the awareness and popularity of CSR activities in the area of the natural environment among employees and external environment.

The company acquired the grant of PLN 100,000 from the funds of the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme (SPPW) for the implementation of this project. The value of the entire project is over PLN 140,000 nett. The project will contribute to the development of a comprehensive environmental policy, environmental education of employees, costs minimization and increase in the awareness outside the organization concerning the strategy, objectives and activities of the company in the field of CSR, mainly in the area of environmental protection.
